This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website located at www.bridgingworldsotdir.com, as well as any related communications, intake forms, and consultation requests (collectively, the "Services").

If you contact us through a third-party platform (such as social media or a scheduling tool), we may receive information you have provided to that platform in connection with your inquiry.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)
We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of children. Our Services are directed at parents and guardians — not directly at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent.
In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
All information about a child must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian
We will not contact a child directly without the explicit consent of their parent or guardian
Parents may request to review, update, or delete any information we have collected about their child by contacting us at the details in Section 14
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from or about a child without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete it.
Health Information & Privacy Practices
Bridging Worlds OT is a private-pay, in-home therapy practice and does not submit electronic claims to insurance carriers. As such, we may not meet the technical definition of a "covered entity" under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). However, we voluntarily follow HIPAA-aligned best practices because protecting the health and personal information of the children and families we serve is a core value — not just a legal obligation.
Health information gathered in the course of providing therapy services — including session notes, observations, and progress updates — is treated with the highest level of discretion. We will never post, share, or publicly reference any information about a client's child or family.
All electronic communications containing sensitive information are conducted over secure channels
Client records are stored securely and accessed only by authorized personnel
Home addresses collected for in-home service delivery are never used for any purpose beyond scheduling and conducting sessions
We comply with all applicable New Jersey state healthcare privacy regulations
